Torsdag d. 7. juni kl. 16.30 åbner vi for udstillingen Collective-ing af Secil Yaylali
Visual artist Secil Yaylali has been working in Gellerup as Artist-in-residency at Sigrids Stue where she was investigating in elements that create identities of different cultures. She has been carried out projects on identity in different multi cultural societies that consists of different sub cultures. In Gellerup Secil Yaylali decided to work on a logography produced with symbols connected, collected and developed in cooperation with residents in the neighborhood. This collected collective logograms gives clues about the visual semiotics of the public, culture and history in connection with their current location.
Onsdag d. 13. juni inviterer vi til talk og workshop – Exchange of knowledge and sharing as practice med Jenny Berntsson og Secil Yaylali. D. 13. juni præsenterer Secil Yaylali desuden udstillingen Collective-ing, som kan ses i rum46 indtil d. 29. juni 2018 i vores gængse åbningstid.
As a starting point in both the talk and the workshop the two artists will use references to their common project Back to the Future: Revolution starts at Home. This is a project they have been working on at KunsthalC in Stockholm
