Their works intertwine, dissolving thresholds between material and immaterial, seen and heard.

Alen Aligrudic & Emeka Ogboh expand on Emil Rønn Andersen’s exploration of perception—between shared reality and the illusory—while resonating with Sound Unsound and its interplay of presence and absence, comfort and discomfort, sound and silence.
Emeka Ogboh’s PalmGroove weaves the soundscapes of Lagos into an ambient electronic composition, merging field recordings with minimalist textures. The piece mirrors Aligrudic shifting visual structures—dislocating and reassembling perception through sound, where urban energy and meditative abstraction fold into one another. As echoes of the city dissolve into atmosphere, recognition wavers, immersing the listener in a sensory space between certainty and ambiguity.
Alen Aligrudic constructs layered environments where objects and surfaces shift between presence and representation. A fireworn sphere sits at the threshold of material and memory, absorbing and distorting its surroundings. Through a stereoscopic viewer, fragmented images of a scream and a lucid smile oscillate between cohesion and dissonance, always on the verge of becoming something else.
Here, representation becomes a simulacrum, where images and sounds slip between the real and the reconstructed. What is heard becomes as tangible as what is seen, and what is seen vibrates in the space of sound.
