Photographer and visual artist Mads Holm will read from the texts in his book HRTLND in the exhibition HRTLND, which can be found in Prospekt and the public space around Vesterbro in Copenhagen. The reading is followed by a roundtable discussion with morning coffee and croissants.
HRTLND is a series of 81 photographs and 5 perspective essays. Shot in 20 European and North American countries over the last 10 years (2013-2023), the photographs depict situations from modern cities, demonstrations, new technology, architecture, infrastructure, borderlands and a brand new, abandoned urban military training facility in northern Germany.
Together, the works create an image of 2025, focusing on an ongoing technological and social upheaval of our international society and public discourse - a pervasive sense of war in the Western world, leading to all kinds of mobilization - geopolitical, military, private, cultural, mental, physical, linguistic.
