Hand weaving, intuition, and materials take center stage when Artist and designer Christina Christensen extends an invite into her practice.
What happens when you look at the great tapestries of history with a slow, attentive gaze—while at the same time letting your hands create textile stories of your own?
Step into a present, immersive space at Frederiksborg, for an opening of the senses through slow looking and a creative workshop.
Hand weaving, intuition, and materials take center stage when Artist and designer Christina Christensen extends an invite into her practice. Working with leftover materials, she explores form, storytelling, and imperfection. No prior experience is needed—you’ll be guided through the textile techniques along the way. The event alternates between shared experiences and time for personal immersion, where you work with your hands.
A closer look will also be taken at the exhibition GOBELIN – The Frederiksborg Tapestries and the unique history of monumental tapestries.
Light refreshments and drinks will be served throughout.
Admission, materials, and refreshments are included in the price. Everyone will take home their own personal woven piece
