Discover Björk’s flute septet and the composer/sound artist ensemble 1000fold at the Round Tower for a special concert program including performances by 1000fold and the premiere of Softenings for 7 flutes – a piece composed by Niels Lyhne Løkkegaard for the Icelandic flute ensemble Viibra. 1000fold has an ambition to present innovative works in collaboration with musicians, ensembles, choirs, festivals, and site-specific concert venues. The artist group consists of Greta Eacott (UK/DK), Niels Lyhne Løkkegaard (DK), and Anders Lauge Meldgaard (DK)
Viibra is a cross-flute septet based in Iceland, founded in 2016 when they contributed to Björk's album 'Utopia.' Since then, they have become known for their dynamic role in Björk's critically acclaimed theatrical concert 'Cornucopia,' where they performed from 2018 to 2023.
