We bring together three artists and a local politician, Ole K. Larsen – chairman of the Committee for Rural Districts, Culture and Leisure – to explore how the fields of art, nature, and sustainability intersect and influence one another today.
Using concrete art initiatives from the municipality as a starting point, we examine how local settings can be transformed into artistic spaces that foster new forms of community in everyday life. The discussion includes an introduction to Nummer 18 by Søren Lose, who has turned an empty lot into a sensory space; Mykorinten, a schoolyard project by Rhoda Ting & Mikkel Bojesen; and Plant Stories (Plantefortællinger) by Camilla Berner, which engages with the new urban space at Østerbroskolen in Nykøbing F.
