EX-MACHINA is a performance art event consisting of four works that examine the entanglement between the human body and technology.Through machines, circuits, codes, and algorithms, the event explores how identities, functions, and actions are destabilized and rethought in the encounter between body and technics.
Rather than a deus ex machina, EX-MACHINA embraces interruption, friction, and unpredictability as an artistic strategy. Drawing on Donna Haraway’s cyborg theory, performance art is understood as a practice of becoming-with technology.
Here, the human does not appear as an isolated subject, but as a relational, hybrid being embedded in nonhuman systems. The event creates a space where new myths, perceptions, and forms of agency are tested live in a fragmented, mediatized present.
