It is with great pleasure that we finally open the doors to the latest edition of MuRI – version 2.3. This update presents four newly digitized collections, including the extensive Animal Art and MuRI’s permanent collection.
At the exhibition, you can explore the collections on dedicated demo computers and learn how to access MuRI easily and for free from home.
MuRI’s long and ongoing digitization process has prompted us to rethink how we present our work. Along the way, we have made a series of curatorial and aesthetic decisions. Regular visitors may notice certain architectural upgrades, as well as a more flexible exhibition layout. Structural decay, such as peeling walls and building damage, has been preserved in a very limited capacity.
For the first time, we have added an interactive layer to the collections, including AI-based mediation. We look forward to seeing how visitors engage with these experimental features.
For the presentation, we are also releasing two new books – fresh from the press.
We look forward to welcoming you to MuRI 2.3.
