In our masterclass featuring Nina Saunders, it’ll get exactly as playful as when she gave new life to a discarded doll and named it Jacob in the service of art, on the DR TV show ‘Kunstnerkolonien in Hornbæk’. In this workshop she’ll help the participants learn to unpack their own playful inner child with designs and processes from her own craft.
Saunders is typically inspired by objects found at fleamarkets and thriftshops, such as odd taxidermied animals or quirky upholstered furnitures.
Surrealism is a common theme in Saunders' practice, which encompasses both a humorous and a serious nature, and always tries to tell us something.
Participants will be giving objects a new life, using techniques such as gilding.
Adult tickets are 550 kr., people under 18 are 350 kr.. This includes materials and admission to the exhibition ‘Det Nuttede’ (The Adorable). From 11 years old.
