MYCKET has moved into the former casino gaming hall in Kungsparken in Malmö.
Since 2025, the art, design, and architecture collective MYCKET (Mariana Alves Silva, Katarina Bonnevier, and Thérèse Kristiansson) has been working on an artistic site analysis of Kungsparken. MYCKET approaches the site as an ecotone—a botanical concept describing the species-rich transitional zone where two plant communities meet, studied in particular for its response to climate change. As part of this exploration, a monumental artistic installation is being created, consisting of materials with both previous and future lives, as well as painting and animation.
Lev Legenden (Live the Legend) is the third chapter of The Spell of New, in which the site’s layered history and the future art museum are departure points of newly produced works by local and international artists.
