Join us for the opening of "Creative Responses", an exhibition with an emphasis on diversity and interconnectedness, the importance of which people have become acutely aware of in times of climate change. The exhibition is curated by artist Þórdís Aðalsteinsdóttir and Auður Aðalsteinsdóttir, research lector in ecocriticism and director of the University of Iceland Research Centre in Þingeyjarsveit, and it will be travelling to Akureyri Art Museum in Iceland later this year.
Do not miss out on the symposium "Creative Responses" at the department of Arts and Culture at the Copenhagen University on May 15th - A symposium on the complex and important role of art, literature and other creative activities in dealing with a changing worldview, highlighting the interplay of the local, regional and global in environmental art.
The project Creative Responses is a collaboration between the University of Iceland’s Research Centre in Þingeyjarsveit and the University of Gothenburg, in partnership with Specta gallery in Copenhagen, Akureyri Art Museum and the University of Copenhagen, Department of Arts and Cultural Studies / Art & Earth Cluster.
Featured artists are Bolatta Silis-Høegh, Camilla Thorup, Hildur Hákonardóttir, Sigga Björg Sigurðardóttir, Sigrún Hrólfsdóttir, Jóna Hlíf Halldórsdóttir, Kristinn Már Pálmason, Laura Ortman, Þórdís Aðalsteinsdóttir, Peter Holst Henckel, Angela Snæfellsjökuls Rawlings, Aurora Robson, Hekla Dögg Jónsdóttir
