Disobedience Archive is a collection of film works exploring the relationship between art and political action. These works examine how resistance movements are translated into moving images as a form of artistic visual activism.
The exhibition presents 36 films, divided into four thematic sections. During the Art Matter Festival, you have the opportunity to see all 36 films, as the program changes on May 20.
Through historical, geographical, and social perspectives, the films map out various artistic resistance strategies from the 1970s to the present. This multi-faceted history of political demands insists on art and visual culture as crucial elements in the fight for a better world.
