Thank You For Coming is an art program that takes place in the context of a Chinese restaurant on Vesterbro in Copenhagen.
The program presents new art works, continuously during 2024, among others by the artists Liu Shiyuan, Nermin Duraković and Molly Haslund.
Through different artistic media and techniques, the art works examine what it means to 'fit in' and discuss how images, cultural codes and prejudices influence our opportunities in society. The program will be launched on Sunday 26 May with the work "The Later Path" by the artist Liu Shiyuan. It’s an organic installation inside the restaurant that changes over the entire exhibition period.Thank You For Coming is curated by the art agency Another Public in collaboration with the restaurant's founder and owner Fanshuang Kong, who migrated to Denmark from China in 2011.
