Experience the glass kaleidoscope of the great Faroese painter and glass artist Tróndur Patursson on the quay in front of Nordatlantens Brygge (The North Atlantic House).
The inspiration to this glass and mirror room from 2002 comes from an experience Tróndur Patursson had on one of his adventurous trips on one of the big oceans with his friend, Tim Severin, an explorer and a film-maker, when their primitive boat was about to sink.
The crew was standing in water to their waists, surrounded by, what seemed infinite sky and ocean. This feeling of finding yourself in an infinite space is what Tróndur seeks for in his glass- and mirror- installations.
