Dive into an atmospheric and experimental photographic technique from the 19th century. In this workshop, you will learn cyanotype — also known as blue printing — where images are developed without a camera, computer, or darkroom.
Together with paper conservator and visual artist Sille Juline Høgly Petersen and paper conservator Sonia Maria Reindl Jacques, you will be introduced to the entire process from start to finish. You will work with a light-sensitive solution and the rays of the sun, which gradually develop your motifs in distinctive blue tones.
You will have the opportunity to experiment with different expressions and materials. For example, you can use plants, leaves, feathers, or old negatives to create personal and graphic images. Throughout the workshop, there is room for immersion, curiosity, and playful exploration of form and composition.
The workshop is open to anyone curious about photography and creative processes — even if you have never tried it before. All materials will be provided during the workshop.
