This year marks the first artist talk in Denmark by renowned artist Zhang Peili, widely recognized as 'the father of Chinese video art'.
Hosted at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art, the event is open to the public and will be translated from Chinese to English. In a 50–60 min lecture + Q&A, Zhang will introduce his artistic practice and trace key developments across his long career, while also reflecting on pivotal realizations and moments from his own student years in the 1980s.
This event offers a unique platform for cross-cultural exchange between a major figure in Chinese contemporary art and both local and international audiences—including students, faculty, and a wide range of art professionals.
Do not miss this opportunity to engage directly with an artist whose work has marked, and continues to shape the field of video- and new media art.
The event is organized by Three Points in collaboration with The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art, and with additional support from The Danish Cultural Institute in Beijing.
