Albert Grøndahl: Face of Another

Face of Another is an encounter in the making. In the exhibition, artist Albert Grøndahl meets present and previous psychiatric users of the gardening nursery at The Psychiatric Hospital in Aarhus: An exchange between the sensitivity of the patients and that of the artist and the visitors during which it matters little who is who.

The exhibition is a shared creative process. In his works, Albert Grøndahl wishes to communicate the interaction between his portraying look at the psychiatric users and their look at him.

The nursery of The Psychiatric Hospital of Aarhus is a free space where the mentally ill may have the experience of creating something on their own account regardless of their illness.

In his exhibition, Albert Grøndahl isolates this space and turns it into an installation integrating his own works with reference to the hospital, its users and Nature’s impact on the heart and mind.
