Creatures under water. Eternal change and never asleep. Insomnia Sea is a solo exhibition by Anika Lori and examines metaphysical symbolism in a contemporary context. It is her first exhibition exploring the craftsmanship of ceramic, though Lori has been working in the medium for years.

Her use of the medium and the exhibition are part of a personal journey, in which the artist’s DNA is significantly present in her works. From Lori’s own handprint on the First Lovers to a caviar spoon shaped by her firm grip and unique glazes that will never be replicated. In Insomnia Sea, the works should be observed from different angles, revealing numerous faces and expressions, spectacular in their dynamicism. They reflect life below the surface, and something that must not be taken for granted.
