The reopening of the Showroom marks the release of a new series of black and white photogravures by the Danish artist Trine Søndergaard. Based on her investigation of time, the series of six photogravures portraits women whose faces are covered by their draped hair. Using the medium of photogravure Søndergaard registers the realm between visibility and invisibility, such as the slow process of hair turning grey as we age.
The prints are also part of Søndergaard’s solo exhibition Nearly Now at Gl. Holtegaard, which unfortunately remains closed due to the current COVID-19 restrictions.
