How can art contribute to legal education? Over the past ten weeks, students in the course Conflict and Intellectual Property Infringement have approached legal issues through guided tours, workshops, and case studies based on artworks from the museum’s collections. You are warmly invited to attend their final presentations.
The presentation is part of the museum’s work with Object-Based Learning (OBL), a higher education teaching method that uses physical objects — in this case, works of art — to raise subject-relevant questions and stimulate deep learning. The method is firmly grounded in research and helps develop critical thinking and communication skills. By using the museum’s collections as a teaching resource, students and educators can explore theories and ideas through concrete objects, leading to a deeper and more engaging learning experience. At Skissernas Museum, part of Lund University, the method is used as an interdisciplinary resource in programmes within fields such as medicine, natural sciences, humanities, and law.
