In collaboration with Kunst på Barsel, Nikolaj Kunsthal welcome parents on parental leave and their babies to the exhibition Alison Knowles: Retrospective 1960–2022. Expect plenty of Fluxus – and lots of space for prams, baby bottles and nappy changes.
On Thursday 4 June, parents with very young children are invited to experience the exhibition, which presents the work of the recently deceased American artist Alison Knowles across more than sixty years of artistic practice. It was here at Nikolaj Kunsthal that she helped shape the Fluxus movement in the early 1960s.
The tour begins at 10:00, giving participants and their children exclusive access to the kunsthal until 11:00, when the building opens to the public.
There is plenty of space for prams, baby bottles and nappy changes – and a café where coffee, tea and cookies can be purchased.
The tour will be led by Malou Solfjeld, art historian, mother and the founder of Kunst på Barsel (“Art on Parental Leave”), a concept that has for several years hosted popular guided tours in museums and art institutions for parents on parental leave.
