The works examine how resistance movements are translated into moving images as a form of artistic visual activism. Curated by Marco Scotini, the archive has been presented at institutions worldwide since 2005, most recently at the Venice Biennale in

The exhibition Disobedience Archive (The Open Storage) presents a wide selection of films that, through historical, geographical, and social perspectives, map out various artistic resistance tactics from the 1970s onwards. The 36 selected films from the archive are divided into four thematic sections: Radical Ecologies, Gender Disobedience, Diaspora Activism, and Insurgent Communities.
