The summer exhibition at Malmö Konsthall, EHM [Event Horizon Malmö], consists of OooOoO Malmö (2024): a skateable sculpture entirely constructed in wood.
Executed specifically for Malmö Konsthall's characteristic exhibition space, it wedges its star formation between the building's load-bearing pillar functions. The solid, well-defined sculpture generates both movement and speed that play with and challenge gravity. The work OooOoO Malmö is complemented by a selection of the artist's drawings executed on a gigantic scale directly on the walls of the Konsthall.
Koo Jeong A represents South Korea at the Venice Biennale this year. The exhibition at Malmö Konsthall is executed in close collaboration with the Korean Pavilion. EHM [Event Horizon Malmö] is curated by Seolhui Lee, Jacob Fabricius, and Mats Stjernstedt.
