Three stop-motion films about life in the Danish countryside. The works take their point of departure in modern rural life and are partly inspired by Vangsgaard’s own upbringing in a countryside setting.
The films follow a farmer who longs for the time when he had a close relationship with his animals, but is now facing the loss of his farm; an unemployed young man, and a fox living its hidden life around a roadside rest stop. The animals watch humans, while humans often fail to see them. Still, humans dream about animals — and like them, are small, fearful creatures in a shifting world.
