info

The work is specifically created for Galleri 1,4 m3 and during the exhibition period the exhibition can be viewed from the street.
Sweet Devil in Heaven is a site of queer resistance and transgression. Celebrating the body in all its diversity, Boumjimar’s performance challenge societal norms of beauty and representation. By inviting viewers to reflect on the ways heteronormative society oppresses queer individuals, his work posits nature as a space of freedom and acceptance.
Boumjimar seeks to unravel the relationship between the human body and the ecosystem, employing performative actions to push the boundaries of conventional depictions.
Central to Karim Boumjimar’s artistic practice is the belief in the potency of drawing and performance to capture and embody the essence of human mobility and connection.
