About
Anna Fernsten Nilén (b. 1985 in Sweden) holds an MA in Visual Culture (2023–2024) and an MA in Art History (2020–2023) from Lund University, as well as an MA in Arts & Cultural Management from Rome Business School (2021–2022). She lives and works from Copenhagen.

Anna Fernsten Nilén is a curator, researcher and cultural strategist working at the intersection of contemporary art, society and lived experience. Her practice explores how art can foster care and connection between people, their environment and the world they inhabit. Approaching art as both a mirror of society and a means of shaping new ways of seeing, sensing and relating, she works across exhibitions, public programmes, research and cultural projects, with a particular focus on perception, participation and social sustainability.
Before transitioning into the arts, Fernsten Nilén spent more than a decade working internationally with innovation, concept development and strategy for COS, Inter IKEA Systems, HAY and SPACE10. She now draws on this experience in her independent curatorial practice.
