Klara Lilja & Emma Kohlmann: Sprouting

Some organisms thrive in wintertime, and V1 Gallery wants to celebrate all hibernating cocoon-dwellers this season with the pop-up exhibition Sprouting, featuring new works by Klara Lilja & Emma Kohlmann. The exhibition consists of a series of monotypes and watercolour works on paper by Kohlmann, and over twenty new ceramic works from Lilja. Kohlmann’s intensely chromatic dreamlike visions meet the sci-fi world-building of Lilja’s mushrooms, mirrors and reliefs in a symbiotic exchange of much-needed nutrients – just what we might need for the winter hoard.

We look forward to welcoming you inside a mycelium dreamscape of shimmering fungi, guardian angels, holiday chimeras, frost-glazed butterflies and budding winter branches.
