Galerie Mikael Andersen invites you to a conversation on Wonga Mancoba with art historian and PhD Emil Elg and artist Jesper Christiansen.

Wonga Mancoba spent much of his life in the shadow of his parents, Sonja Ferlov Mancoba and Ernest Mancoba. Yet his paintings reveal a powerful and deeply personal artistic voice.
In this conversation, art historian and PhD Emil Elg and artist Jesper Christiansen explore Mancoba’s expressive visual language, his connection to South Africa, and the tension between chaos and precision that runs through his work.
