Mie Olise Kjærgaard is showing lithographs from the last 7 years, as well as showing a new body of lino-cut prints as well as small scale fabric works.

The Doggy Bag Race is a part of the works that Olise has been working with for the last years, after her solo exhibition in at MAAA in Venezuela opened up for an exotic world – flooded, people living in the trees, getting around in boats. Characters with hats, horses, dogs and handbags are some of the inhabitants of this new world. And The Doggy Bag Race is inspired of the Tivoli horse race, now with dogs in designer bags inspired of the it-girls of different times – when situated in the flooded junglescape, a thought provocating absurdity appears in the juxtaposition.
