Bladr (Danish for ’turn the page’) is a community – born out of the love of artists’ books. It is a nonprofit platform dedicated to exhibiting and exploring the field. In Bladr, a framework is formed around the book as an artistic object, with space to explore the tactile and various artistic manifestations such as drawing, photography, collage, text, graphics etc.
With a desire to increase the visibility of the artist's book, Bladr gives artists the opportunity to unfold their practice and works in the form of exhibitions, performances, workshops, book launches, lectures and more.
Bladr was founded in 2017 and continues to assume various shapes by being a bookstore and an exhibition place, as well as a space for workshops, screenings, performances, book launches, talks, and other events. The goal is to increase the visibility of artists’ books and to create and facilitate activities that foster a larger community.
