Artist Statement:
I work with objects and sculptures in which meaning arises through the beholder’s direct encounter with the work, rather than representation. The work is usually grounded in an attention to scale, distance, and bodily presence, and I understand the work as something that exists in continuous relation to the viewer and the surrounding space. Drawing from everyday objects, elements of interiors, and architectural structures, I engage in processes of material transformation to reveal their quiet narratives and poetic potential. Traces carried by objects and spaces become starting points for recontextualization.
Seven wooden painted panels installed in the corner of the exhibition space explore the relationship between painting, architecture, and perception. Conceived as physical objects rather than images, they partially surround the viewer, directing movement and attention. Through reduction of form and emphasis on material presence, the work transforms the surrounding space into an active part of the experience
